Dengel is a manufacturing firm that was established in 2009 GC in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. With an initial capital of 30,000 ETB and a team of three workers, Dengel specializes in producing orthopedic pillows and cushions that are designed to promote health and productivity. Over the past decade, Dengel’s products have played a significant role in addressing health issues and social challenges faced by many individuals in Ethiopia. By focusing on import substitution, we have also played a crucial role in saving the limited foreign currency that would have otherwise been used to import similar products. Additionally, Dengel has created employment opportunities for over twenty five individuals, with a majority being women, directly impacting the local economy and providing a pathway for further job creation.
